Ingredients
Fish 1 to 1-1/2 kg (sliced or whole)
Garlic paste 1-1/2 tbsp
Ghee/oil 3 cups/500g for fry
Shan fish masala 1 packet

Method
1. Mix shan fish masala and garlic; apply on fish for 30 minutes.
2. Fry fish in hot oil/ghee until cooked and golden.
3. Sprinkle lemon juice and shan chaat masala on fish and serve.
(Note):
For more good taste, add 3-4 tbsp tamarind paste in above mixture.

Besan wali Machli

Preparation Cooking Serving

Ingredients
Fish 1 to 1-1/2 kg (sliced or whole)
Garlic paste 1-1/2 tbsp
Gram flour (besan) 1 cup
Salt ½ tsp
Ghee/oil 3 cups/500g for fry
Shan fish masala 1 packet

Method
1. Mix shan fish masala and garlic; apply on fish for 30 minutes.
2. Mix salt in gram flour with cold water to make a smooth batter.
3. Dip fish in gram flour better and deep in hot oil until golden brown.

Bangali Machli/ Jhenga Salan

Preparation Cooking Serving

Ingredients
Yogurt (beaten) 1 cup/200g
Garlic paste 1 tbsp/25g
Onion 1/2 medium (thinly sliced)
Bay leaves 15-25 whole
Ghee/oil 1 cup/175g
Shan fish masala 1 packet

Method
1. Fry onion in hot oil until golden then add bay leaves, garlic, yogurt, shan fish masala and sauté for a few minutes.
2. Now add fish and stir fry for 10 minutes.
3. Then add 3-4 cups water and cook until fish tender.
4. Serve with boil rice.
